Thank You, Child Sponsors: A Letter From Holt Cambodia

At the beginning of the year, Holt’s team in Cambodia took a moment to say thank you to Holt sponsors who support children in their programs. As Cambodia deals with the ongoing consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and other natural disasters, they want sponsors to know that their support is having a direct impact on children and families in their programs!

Dear Sponsor,

I am Ung Pola, the Program Manager of Holt International in Cambodia. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to you for your generous contribution, sponsorship and donation. They enable Holt Cambodia possible to make a tremendous difference in lives of children and families in need in Cambodia.

Because of you, 2022 is a year of success. Your contribution makes Holt Cambodia possible to serve children who are orphaned, abandoned or at serious risk of separation from their family. We also serve children whose birth families are temporarily unable to provide care due to crisis such as death, physical or emotional illness, violence, short-term imprisonment and separation of parents. Your contribution enables Holt Cambodia to meet needs of the children and families in the program. Because of you we can provide food, nutrition, basic medical care, hygiene, education, proper shelter, and nurturing care of their family or caregivers. Moreover, your contribution makes Holt Cambodia possible to support the families to recover from impacts of COVID-19 through the Family Strengthening Program.

I could honestly call your contribution, sponsorship and donation as life-changing ones. With your contribution, Holt Cambodia is possible to prevent at-risk children from being separated from their families. We can also provide care for vulnerable children. Furthermore, children who are living outside family care are reunited with their birth families or receive alternative family-based care. Your contribution makes Holt Cambodia possible to support abandoned children to have a permanent family through adoption.
