Hi, I'm Tam Y
I'm a girl, 3 years old and live in Vietnam.
Tam Y comes from a low-income household. Her father passed away in April 2024 due to cirrhosis of the liver. The loss of her father was a devastating shock to the family, resulting in a crisis for the mother and her four children. Since his passing, her mother has taken on the sole responsibility of caring for the three daughters. She sells lottery tickets both at home and on the street to supplement the family's income. With a low income and expenses exceeding their capacity to pay, the family struggles to afford education for their three school-aged children, which has become their biggest challenge. Y's mother finds it challenging to develop a sustainable livelihood that meets their educational needs. Fortunately, she has received financial assistance from the FPR program to start a home-based beverage business. This support will help her family and ensure that Y can continue attending school.
