Hi, I'm Duc Khang
I'm a boy, 9 years old and live in Vietnam.
Duc Khang, his older sister, and mother currently live with his grandparents and uncle. The parents divorced three years ago. His father has not provided any support to him and his sister since. The grandfather works as a cyclo rider and motorbike driver. His income is seasonal, low, and unstable. The grandmother works as a cleaner at a supermarket. Their combined income is just enough for their basic expenses, not to mention the school supplies for their son – Khang’s uncle. Khang’s mother rents a small place on the opposite side of their house on the main road to start her coffee and beverage-selling business. Despite her hard work, her income cannot cover the family’s expenses and the cost of education for her two children. The mother faces the challenge of making a living and improving her income to support her family and ensure her children can continue attending school. She received financial assistance from our FPR program to expand her business.
