Hi, I'm Bich Dy
I'm a girl, 11 years old and live in Vietnam.
Dy comes from a low-income household and currently lives with six family members. Her mother passed away two years ago. Her father moved to a different region, remarried, and has not provided any support for his children since. Bich Dy’s grandfather is the primary provider for the family. He is working on his durian farming with the durian trees planted four years ago. The durian is not in its appropriate time for the first crop harvest yet, so there is no income from this work. He also works as a daily laborer. The demand for farming work is limited, leading to a temporary shortage of seasonal farming tasks. As a result, he struggles to cover the family's monthly expenses, let alone the costs of school supplies for the children. The family needs additional support to increase their income. Fortunately, they have received financial assistance from our FPR program, allowing them to start goat farming. This will help support the family and ensure Bich Dy can continue her education.
