Hi, I'm Bach
I'm a boy, 9 years old and live in Vietnam.
Bach receives the full-time education and physical therapy services provided by the Kianh Center. Holt International partially support Kianh's activities with finance.
The child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, he can sit on the wheelchair, not able to walk yet. He was found with a congenital heart disease at 2 month of age and had one serious cardiologic surgery which lead lacking of oxygen in his brain. Fortunately, his cerebral palsy does not affect his cognitive ability. He has potential verbal communication, his vocalization is a bit low and unclear.
He was born in a very difficult family with five children at the oldest age of 15 and the youngest twin’s age at 1 year. They, three generations, are living together in the family’s land, where only Bach’s father has a job with very low income. Bach’s oldest brother had to leave school for a vocational training for a much needed earn-living job. Food for the whole family including the two new infants depend on what people give them. Bach was not accepted into mainstream kindergartens due to his severe physical disability, though his cerebral palsy has not affected on his cognition.
