Hi, I'm Khai
I'm a boy, 9 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khai is the first of two children born to Mr. Nguyen The Tai (born in 1959) and Mrs. Vu Thi Song (born in 1974). His mother is the breadwinner of the family. She earns a living from collecting and reselling broken equipment, empty cans and other junk things. Her income is about US$140 per month. His father is a veteran. He has weak health and cannot do heavy duty job. He now works as a mason with the estimated income of US$57 per month. The residence of this 4-member family is a shabby house built 40 years ago. Due to financial constraints, the family has not paid fully the tuition fees for their two children at the beginning of this academic year.
Khai does not have chronic diseases.
After being referred to Holt, Khai would receive a grant from Holt-Vietnam Scholarship Program in September 2020.
