Hi, I'm Huyen
I'm a girl, 12 years old and live in Vietnam.
Huyen is the second of two children born to Mr. Nguyen Loc Toan (born in 1978) and Mrs. Pham Thi Tho (born in 1978). The father is a barber with the estimated income of US$4 a day. The mother earns about US$2 from making conical hats in home. They have approximate 700 square meters of paddy field, which yields them about 1.5 quintal of rice per six months. The father receives US$40 per month as government subsidy for 2nd generation Agent Orange victims. Huyen’s older brother shows signs of developmental delay comparing to his peers. Huyen does not have chronic diseases. After being referred to Holt, Huyen would receive a grant from Holt-Vietnam Scholarship Program in September 2020.
