Hi, I'm Khai
I'm a boy, 10 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khai and his older brother have suffered trauma since their father’s recent death. The father died because of a stroke and the funeral was organized on September 11, 2020. Their 360 square meters of paddy field yields them 2 quintals of rice per 6 months. With the monthly income of US$64 from manual rice transplanting and labor work, the mother struggles to provide two children in school age proper care and maintain their education.
Khai does not have chronic diseases but shows signs of malnutrition.
After being referred to Holt, he would receive a grant from Holt-Vietnam Scholarship Program in September 2020.
