Hi, I'm Hai
I'm a boy, 14 years old and live in Vietnam.
Hai's childhood was full of hardships. His father was incarcerated, and his mother left soon after, cutting off all contact and support. Since then, he has been raised by his great-aunt’s family, including seven people struggling with financial difficulties. His great-aunt had a stroke and can’t work, while his great-uncle does low-paying, unstable jobs to support the household. On top of that, Hai’s uncle is unemployed, and his aunt-in-law works as a cashier while caring for her young children. With such a limited and uncertain income, it’s hard for the family to cover daily expenses and pay for Hai’s education. His great-aunt wanted to raise egg-laying chickens to improve their situation but didn’t have enough money to start. Thankfully, with support from local authorities and Holt, the family received funding in late January 2025 to start their poultry business, giving them hope for a more stable income in the future.
