Hi, I'm Tu
I'm a girl, 2 years old and live in Vietnam.
Tu's family is classified as a disadvantaged household in the local community. The family of five, including Tu, her parents, and two older siblings, owns 7,000 square meters of farmland. However, following their last rice harvest, the land remains fallow due to a lack of capital for intercropping. Tu’s mother works as a seasonal laborer in a garment factory, but the irregular work schedule results in low and inconsistent earnings. Consequently, the family struggles to meet basic needs, including food and their children's education. Tu’s father seeks to cultivate peanuts to supplement their income and enrich the soil for future rice crops, but they lack the financial resources to purchase the necessary fertilizer. Recognizing their hardship, local authorities referred the family to Holt for assistance. In late January 2025, Tu's family received the needed fertilizer, allowing them to cultivate peanuts and work toward greater financial stability.
