Hi, I'm Ngoc
I'm a girl, 13 years old and live in Vietnam.
Ngoc's family is one of poor households in her commune certified by the local authorities. Her family does not have land for cultivation. Their 30 square-matter house was built in 2007 and made by iron-sheet walls and roof and brick floor. There are only some very old furniture in their house. Ngoc’s father left away from home when her mother was pregnant with her. When Ngoc was 6 year old, her mother also left her hometown to make a living in other region and remarried. Since then, Ngoc has been living with her maternal grandfather who is blind in one eye and does not have stable job. Seeing that the child would be at risk of dropping-out of school the local authorities referred this case to Holt for help.
Ngoc is reported to have a little bit difficulty in mobility because her right side body is weak.
There are two people in Ngoc’s family including her and her 66-year-old grandfather. On a daily basis, the grandfather goes to the river bank or paddy fields in the region to catch fish or shrimp to make a living.
