Hi, I'm Shakur
I'm a boy, 4 years old and live in Uganda.
Shakur lives with his Aunt who is caretaker at home in Kawe Village. The family comprises of 4 children and Shakur is the second. The parents separated and left the child with Aunt when he was 2years. The Aunt stays on a small plot of land which is not enough for cultivation. The Aunt is a peasant farmer who only cultivates food for home consumption. She also does casual labour to survive at home with the children. The number of children at home is big compared to the income earnings by the caretaker. The family is unable to support children due to lack of funds to meet education requirements, beddings, medical services, nutrition and other basics at home like clothings, good shelter and day to day needs at home. He enrolled in baby class but school fees and scholastic materials are a big challenge, says the Aunt.
