Hi, I'm Erkhembayar
I'm a boy, 13 years old and live in Mongolia.
Erkhembayar's family lives in a remote area of the district. With minimal wages, they are struggling to make a living. Their two children have been deaf since birth and the parents came to the Social Services Department of the district for help. The department asked us to support this family and we enrolled their youngest child, Erkhembayar, in our program.
He is deaf but otherwise healthy.
The father drives a truck for a construction company and the mother stays home. The children go to a kindergarten specialized for disabled children. The mother takes them to kindergarten and picks them up after school. Without enough income, they are unable to provide their children with proper care. The family receives child support funds of 20.000 tugrik ($12) per month from the government.
