Hi, I'm Munkh-Od
I'm a boy, 14 years old and live in Mongolia.
Munkh-Od's family is poor and lives in a remote area of the district. Due to increasing cost of living, the family is struggling to raise their children and is unable to provide them with proper care. The Social Services Department asked us to help the family and we enrolled their youngest child Munkh-Od in our program.
Upon admission, he had a burn on his leg from hot water and it was healing, other than that he was a healthy child.
The father drives a cab and the mother has no work. She looks after the young children at home. The family receives child support funds of $12 from the government and with minimum wage. This does not cover the needed nutrition food and other expenses such as fuel, clothes and medicine for the family.
