Hi, I'm Van
I'm a girl, 1 year old and live in Vietnam.
Van’s family is in difficult circumstances and belongs to a near-poor household. Van is the youngest child and she has an older brother. Currently, a family of four is living in an old, dilapidated house built in 1979, which is about 40 square meters in size, with an old tiled roof and cracked walls, but the family does not have the money to repair it. The family does not have any valuable assets. The parents do not have a stable job. Recently, the father has been out of work, so he is staying home to take care of the little child. The mother works as a dishwasher, taking on any job that comes her way, earning a low income of about $160 per month. The mother who underwent liver surgery, having had 1/4 of her liver removed, currently spends about $20 on medication each month. The family’s limited income is insufficient to pay school fees and daily expenses for two children. Therefore, Holt provided them financial support to raise chickens at home to generate their income.
