Hi, I'm Zulufah
I'm a girl, 4 years old and live in Uganda.
Zulufah stays with his mother and grandmother at Wakivule village. The grandmother is a widow and the father of the child is in prison- Nakasongola. They family used to stay in rental in Kikyusa before the father was arrested. However, they had to buy a small plot of 25/30, where they constructed a small room. The mother does casual labour to earn a living and to pay school fees for the other children at home. No support from the family relatives but only the grandmother. She is a peasant farmer who entirely depends on cultivation of food crops for home consumption. As such, they have no clear source of income to support Zulufah and her siblings especially in the areas of education, health, beddings, nutrition, clothing and other home basics like soap, sugar and others. Therefore, they ask for support from Holt Uganda for the betterment of the children and family, narrates the mother.
