Hi, I'm Yen
I'm a girl, 5 years old and live in Vietnam.
Yen is living with her father, her older sister, and her grandmother in a small house in Phu Yen province. Due to the difficulty of family, her mom left home without information when she was only two years old. Her grandmother is a farmer. Yen’s father is a freelance, and he works in Ho Chi Minh City, due to the father's insufficient income, he only sends home 1 million vnđ each month, and the family faces many difficulties in covering their living expenses, especially the cost of their child's education. Yen and her older sister Ngan are of school age, they love going to school and hope they can do so. Knowing Yen’s family situation, local authorities helped by introducing Yen to Holt Vietnam. The family receives financial assistance to develop their livelihoods by raising chickens which helps ensure that the children can continue going to school.
