Hi, I'm Khang
I'm a boy, 5 years old and live in Vietnam.
Khang lives with his older brother and his parents. His mother operates a breakfast-selling business at a market. She sets up her breakfast stand at 3:00 a.m. and continues selling until 2:00 p.m. She pays a significant monthly rental for her place at the market. Khang's father is a daily laborer for a local ice manufacturing company, with shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The family purchased their small house with a large loan from the bank. Recently, the mother's business has been struggling with temporary sluggish sales. The family faces difficulties in covering living expenses, market rental costs, loan payments, and school fees for the children. Khang is attending kindergarten, but due to the family's financial constraints, his school fees have often been paid late. The school has referred his case to the Day Care Project of Holt Vietnam for education support, which is crucial as Khang is in his last year of kindergarten before entering primary school.
