Calling all wrestling coaches, Sheldon is looking for a family!
Everyone who knows 14-year-old Sheldon describes him as motivated, respectful, hardworking and responsible. He is talented athletically, particularly when it comes to wrestling and soccer. Sheldon’s dream is to become a professional wrestler!
Sheldon spends a great deal of time training and attending wrestling tournaments, but he still prioritizes schoolwork and has top marks in his classes! His teachers call him a model student and describe him as motivated to learn. His favorite subjects are geography, literature and math.
Sheldon’s foster family has been a positive, stabilizing influence for him, and he has a strong bond with them. They say he is good at understanding other people’s points of view, and he values loyalty, support and responsibility in his friendships.
The ideal adoptive family for Sheldon will understand older child adoption, be willing and able to help Sheldon continue his wrestling in both high school and club, and have an understanding of grief and loss. He also needs a family who understands teenagers and the complexity of adopting a teen. Sheldon does have older siblings so his adoptive family should be open to remaining in contact with his siblings in Eastern Europe.
