In India, children were coming to school without shoes. Not only did this cause cuts and scrapes on their feet, but they were in danger of contracting dangerous infections and even parasites.

Parasites were causing the children to get sick and malnourished... and it was all because they were going barefoot!

The solution was simple: Shoes. But these children live in poverty, and their families couldn’t afford new shoes. Especially when families had multiple children to provide for….

But then, you stepped up and gave them new shoes!

Each child in need received a pair of shoes — just their size, with a little room to grow.

Some children had gone so long without wearing shoes that our partner organization has started educating children about the importance of wearing shoes, and giving them daily reminders. Because shoes really do make a huge difference!
