Mika and Dixie are twin sisters who need a loving adoptive family! Could you or someone you know be the right home for them?
These two have a deep love for each other. They are very close and hope very much that they will be able to stay together in their new home!
Dixie is very social and a leader among her peers. Dixie’s foster mother describes her as a smart girl who respects teachers, listens well, is obedient, adaptable, and a good friend. Dixie appears to be on track developmentally and for her age.
Mika’s caregivers describe her as sweet and tender. She is close to everyone in her foster family and enjoys giving and receiving affection. Mika likes playing with her sister and neighbor kids.
For fun both sisters enjoy playing with dolls, pretend role-playing, going to the park, arts and crafts, and singing. Since entering care Mika has made strides developmentally and socially. She receives supports and therapies to help her with emotional regulation and general development.
An ideal adoptive family for Mika and Dixie will have TBRI® training, empathize with the girl’s complex history, provide language competent therapy, as well as any educational, speech, or occupational therapies Mika may need. This family will love and embrace the girls as individuals and provide them with their own unique needs.
