Hansel needs an adoptive family! Could you or someone you know be the right fit for him?
Hansel is a happy, engaged boy. He works to attract the attention of adults, maintains eye contact and demonstrates curiosity, interest and persistence when presented with activities. He gets along well with other children and enjoys playing in group settings.
Hansel’s caregivers describe him as smiley! He is building his vocabulary and fine motor skills, and with therapy and one-on-one attention he is showing marked improvement in both areas. Hansel eats independently. He loves to play with cars and enjoys building with cubes and other toys.
Praise is very motivating for Hansel! He is always very pleased with himself when he knows he has done something well! He seeks affirmation from adults and demonstrates a willingness to be communicative with the people around him.
Hansel has spina bifida, which impacts his mobility in his lower limbs. He needs a family with access to a spina bifida children’s clinic or hospital and excellent therapeutic resources to support his development. His family should have very good medical coverage as he will need ongoing therapies and interventions throughout his life. His family should also have excellent educational resources. Hansel will likely do well with other children in the home, but having older siblings would be positive for him.
