Meet Eddie! Five-year-old Eddie needs a loving, caring family that is familiar with — or willing to learn about — specialized education. Could you or someone you know be the right family for Eddie?

Eddie is described as a polite, honest, friendly, loving and active child. He likes to play with balls and toy cars, climb and play in the swimming pool. He loves watching TV shows about cars and planes.

Eddie’s caregiver says he has made great strides in warming up to others, as long as he knows they are trustworthy. He is always moving – whether that’s walking, running or climbing. Reports say his gross motor skills are comparable to other children his age, but his attention span is shorter. Eddie pretends to talk on the phone, he will name some colors and counts to 10 without mistakes.

He enjoys new experiences, can take turns with other children, and shows affection to caregivers. Eddie’s date of birth was roughly estimated, and his growth has been inconsistent with his assigned age. An ideal adoptive family for Eddie will need to support him with specialized education and speech services and be open to unknowns in his development.

If you think you or someone you know could be the right family for Eddie, please email our waiting child team at [email protected]! We cannot share photos of him publicly due to country restrictions on privacy. However, our social work team took many photos and videos of him to share with prospective families.
