All About 2022 Holt Adoptee Camp!

For the first time in two years, the Holt Adoptee Camp you know and love is returning to in-person camp once again!

“Hello, campers and camp families! I am looking forward to Holt Camp this summer! While some things may be different, the best parts of Holt Camp will remain the same. My ongoing goal for camp is to provide adoptees an opportunity to connect, experience community, and explore their racial and adoptee identities. I hope you will be able to join us and be a part of this unique experience!” — Joli Hanlon, Camp Director

What makes in-person camp so great?

Here are four reasons why in-person Holt Adoptee Camp is the highlight of the summer for youth adoptees:

  1. Seeing old friends and meeting new ones face-to-face!
  2. Enjoying the warm summer weather!
  3. Playing outdoor games — like tug-of-war! — and going swimming!
  4. Meeting adoptees from all across the country!

Where will Holt Adoptee Camp be held this summer?

We’re offering camp in four states across the country and three out of the four campsites are new this summer! For the first time since 2014, we are offering Holt Adoptee Camp in California!

Oregon Camp – Cedar Ridge Retreat and Conference Center, July 13-16
Wisconsin Camp – Camp Whitcomb/Mason, July 17-21

California Camp – Big Bear Lake Christian Conference Center, July 26-29
New Jersey Camp – Camp Tecumseh, August 1-5

How are we keeping campers and staff safe and healthy?

Summer camp during a pandemic brings new challenges and we’re putting the safety of our campers and staff first. There is a vaccination requirement for campers and staff and we will be following CDC and state guidelines. Also, a nurse will be onsite 24/7 at each camp.

It’s going to be an awesome summer! We can’t wait to see you there!
