Meet Preston! This creative and kind 9-year-old is waiting for a permanent, loving family. Could you or someone you know be the right family for Preston?
Preston has been described as polite, playful, curious and engaged. When Holt adoption team members met him, he happily participated in all of the activities and enjoyed interacting with the team. During the assessment, he demonstrated his ability to subtract, add and multiply. Preston enjoys art and music, and particularly enjoys drawing and playing guitar. His love of drawing was evident during the assessment. He drew two very detailed pictures that showed his imagination and creativity!
At his orphanage, Preston lives in a building with other boys his age. He has a favorite caregiver, whom he describes as kind. His caregivers say Preston is a helpful boy, who regularly offers to help out and completes chores around the home.
Preston often plays with the younger children at his home. Together, they play with Legos or blocks, and he likes to teach them how to play with a remote control car. He also enjoys swimming, playing games and climbing.
Preston understands the concept of adoption and hopes to be adopted one day. His wish is to have a kind adoptive family with parents and siblings who enjoy playing games with one another. An ideal adoptive family for Preston should be open to unknowns. The family should use TBRI techniques to create connection before correction, and should have access to educational support services to help him reach his potential.
