I was 4 when we adopted my sister. They said that she had an approximate age of 2 1/2, but we joke that she could be actually older. It’s was really fun when she hit 30. One thing the boys will get is that they either “look alike” or they don’t. We get tired of explaining that we are not biologically sisters so we just nod our head and say thanks!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. I just realized that bringing home a toddler would be about the same as having a new infant. Even though the child is older, there is a long adjustment period. Learning how your son had to adjust to his new mom was eye-opening. It is so good to know your family is healthy and happy now.
