Brian Campbell, Holt Creative Productions Manager
Durame, Ethiopia—Allow me to introduce you to Holt’s childcare facility in Durame.
I didn’t mention the name of the facility because it was just recently opened, and it hasn’t been named yet. Right now two young girls and two infants are in Holt’s care. This is one of the sweetest facilities I have had the privilege to visit.
With bright new colours, furniture created by local women’s groups and toys from industries that support special needs young adults; this center has been built with the help of the surrounding communities. I really don’t have the proper words to describe what I’ve seen, so I’ll just include some photos of the place these vulnerable children call home.
Tomorrow Gary and I head out to our programs in Kampala, Uganda. Kinda sad to say farewell to new friends. I hope to return here soon and see the evergrowing work that Holt is doing to serve the children of Ethiopia.
Brian,
WOW! It has been so great to see and read about your adventure. It looks like you’ve experienced some pretty amazing things. What beautiful faces. It can see why it’s difficult to leave and move on. Thanks for sharing.
